The unstable label length of the labeling machine is a complex problem that may be caused by various factors.
1、In terms of mechanical components
The delivery wheel is worn out
The label delivery wheel is a key component that controls the delivery of labels.During prolonged operation,the label feeding wheel may experience wear and tear due to continuous friction with the label.When the marking wheel wears out,its surface roughness and diameter will change.For example,if the diameter of the worn label wheel decreases,the length of the label sent out will be shorter than normal at the same rotation angle.Moreover,the worn surface may not be able to effectively grip the label,resulting in slipping during the delivery process,further affecting the stability of the label length.
Traction mechanism malfunction
The traction mechanism is responsible for pulling the label forward.If the belt of the traction mechanism is loose,the chain is loose,or the gear is worn,it will cause unstable power for label conveying.Taking a belt as an example,a loose belt can cause intermittent pauses or acceleration of the label during transportation,resulting in fluctuating length of the label.In addition,gear wear can cause changes in transmission ratio,affecting the conveying speed of labels and making it difficult to maintain consistent label length.

Label sensor malfunction
Tag sensors are used to detect the position and length of tags.If the sensor malfunctions,such as decreased sensitivity,being obstructed by dust or label debris,it will result in inaccurate detection signals.When the sensor cannot accurately determine the starting position or length of the label,it will send incorrect instructions to the control system,causing the labeling machine to produce unstable label lengths.For example,if the sensor misjudges the label length as longer or shorter,the control system will correspondingly send more or fewer labels.
Improper or faulty control system parameter settings
The control system of the labeling machine is responsible for coordinating the work of various components.If the parameter settings in the control system are incorrect,such as improper settings for marking speed,label length compensation,etc.,it will affect the marking length.In addition,faults in the control system itself,such as program errors,damage to circuit board components,etc.,can also cause confusion in the marking instructions,making it difficult to accurately control the marking length.
3、Label self factors
Label quality difference
Different batches of labels may have differences in thickness,material,and smoothness of the base paper.For example,if the thickness of the label is uneven,the thicker part may experience greater friction when passing through the label wheel,which may slow down the delivery speed;The thinner part may be sent out too quickly,resulting in unstable marking length.The smoothness of the label backing paper can also affect its transportation in the machine,and backing paper with excessively high smoothness is prone to slipping.
